really liked it

The plot is typical movie fare: terrorists break into the home of the vice president of a small South American country during a gala event with international dignitaries in attendance who are summarily held hostage. But it's what Patchett does with those characters and the complex relationships that develop among hostages and terrorists alike, many who can not speak each other's languages that is amazing.
