Brendan A staggered, strange, challenging... rich, beautiful and ever-blossoming novel. I struggled with it and loved every minute of that struggle. The experience was strange: as I read the book a second and third time, the style became more familiar and easy to deal with, it flowed more, but the complex inter-connections, the little clues and patterns and the vast and multifarious implications of the symbolism at work were revealed to be more and more unwieldy and difficult to encapsulate in a cohesive vision. A bizarre beauty. Just wonderful.
