it was amazing

A great one to read for lesson ideas, inspiration, or just to remind yourself that bureaucracy and autocracy can be found above us, below us and in us and thus holding us back. At the same time, amazing things can happen when we actually implement what we learn as well as what we know to be true. The teacher is funny and honest--unfortunately her hard work and the frustrations that she experiences from administrators, parents, a disinterested community and the "system" in general make you realise that education in the USA needs work. Teachers are teachers--making them into parents, counselors, and social workers will only wear them out.
