Dangerous Ground (Jerry Mitchell, #1)
by Larry Bond
by Larry Bond
The techno-thriller goes green. Now that the great Soviet threat is over, I'm sure the techno-thriller writers are searching for new avenues to put their heroes in harm's way. In "Dangerous Ground," Larry Brown blends the old Soviet (now Russian threat) with the threat of pollution by having the crew of the USS Memphis search Russian waters for evidence of radiation pollution caused by the dumping of nuclear waste. Instead they find a cache of nuclear warheads that have been dumped in those waters. A old-line Russian admiral unleashes what's left of his forces to see that the Memphis doesn't get out with its secret.
