A popularization of the article referred to in the technical literature as 'TTAPS', aka 'Turco et al'.

Consisting mainly of graphs and tables, this is one of the scariest books I've ever read. Often a problem that's worrying us presently (such as acid rain) is represented with the symbol 'n/a', with a footnote explaning that 'this problem will be worse than it ever has before, but relatively speaking, it will be negligible.'
