Really liked this book. The author tells the tale of the an 11 year old girl whose Jewish family was arrested and held at the Velodrom d' Hiver in France in 1942 before being sent to Auschwitz. The story is told partially thru the eye of the young girl Sarah and partially thru the eyes of Julia a present day, American journalist living in France who is tasked with writing an article about this dark chapter in France's history. This is a work of fiction but all the historical details are acurate I found this story haunting and beautiful a wonderful must read book.
