The first chapters were rather slow, and I think I just couldn't wrap my mind around where/when Hahp was. The book interlinks stories of two characters, though at first the connection is vague. The way it was told annoyed me a lot at the start -- the chapters were very short and the POVs kept changing since the stories alternated between the protagonists at each chapter.

It's mostly solidly written, though the ending doesn't resolve anything much. I realise it's part of a trilogy, but I expected something more from the ending.

Will read the sequel if I get my hands on it. It's not very high on my priority list, but I'd like to know what happens next.
