Read in January, 2008

In this book, Gilbert takes us with her on her journey of discovery. After a divorce, she realizes that in order to find herself, she needs to travel to India, Italy and India (three places she always dreamed of going to). These trips lead to discoveries about her life and happiness.

I found this book to be a little fluffy at times and at other moments, she began to sound a little too self-rightous for my liking. I did love the chapters on her time in Italy, where romance blooms and we see the beauty of the country and her understanding that happiness does not always come the way you thought it would. The other chapters seemed to drag on for me at times.
