Duchovney I want this book! Read fast tell me library or buy ? No pressure *Lies* :b

Misty Hahaha! This is a peer pressure one. I have a few friends who have been pushing Marchetta on me, and one in particular who I feel was on the verge of actually tying me to a chair and taping my eyes open and forcing me to read it.

Heather I've read this one and Saving Francesca. I loved both but I loved extra Saving francesca...I think it helped that I listened to it! Cool Australian accents are the best! She's an excellent writer and I would highly recommend these two and probably anything else she's written!

Misty Yeah, that seems to be the consensus - read everything by her NAO!! lol

Heather I hate hyping stuff up, though. Everyone's different! I randomly picked up Saving Francesca audiobook at the library so that one wasn't hyped up for me. Jellicoe Road was and I didn't like it as much. So...forget anybody's recommended her and then read one of her books! lol! ;)

Misty Haha!

Sara ♥ Aren't her books great? Saving Francesca was my favorite, I think....

I loved Finnikin of the Rock, too, but it's a completely different genre.

Misty FotR is on my wishlist, but I want the Australian cover, which is a bajillion dollars...

It's a powerhouse, right? Hard to put words to.

Yeah... (still stupid)

I actually loved Francesca better, but that's personal experience talking. I have to say I cried like a ninny with this one though.

I did read FotR, and loved it while leaving it conflicted. A lot more on "journey vs. trip" to the feel on that one too, what with much being predictable, and the meat being the getting there. I guess it's one of Marchetta's themes.

Misty I haven't read FotR yet because I want to get the Australian copy (love the cover!); silly reason not to have read it, but I can be stubborn...

Actually, this is the ONLY thing I've read by Marchetta, and I need to rectify that. Soon.

Sara ♥ Oh man! But the second one, Froi of the Exiles, is awesome, too. I have the third one, Quintana of Charyn... I need to reread the first two before I read it though.

Misty... LIBRARY!!! ;)
