I was pleasantly surprised with this book, it had the scary but sci-fi feeling I expected without a level of sheer terror I was not looking forward to. It started out a little slow but that might have been because I don't read many books with a male narrator. This was a fact I didn't realize until I was about halfway through this book! I enjoyed the chapter titles referencing songs from Christine's original era. It added a nice tieback to the past and provided a preview for the chapter all-in-one. The storyline was interesting, Christine, the car, is a hunk of junk that captures the narrator's friend's heart from the first look and refuses to let go. Christine is a jealous being and has a unique way of showing her green-with-envy attitude. This is a great intro into the Stephen King world and after reading this one, I still think Dean Koontz is better in the suspense department, at least his older work is!
