My liberal arts education at Oklahoma Baptist University taught me to approach the world with an open mind. Kevin Roose, the author of this book, would probably be surprised by this fact. His journalistic foray into a private Christian college unearths these truths: evangelicals talk about pop culture; they struggle with their faith; they genuinely care about each other; and much more. This memoir is a very entertaining read, and I saw some parallels between Liberty University and my college experience, although OBU seems far more moderate than Liberty. Ultimately, I'm glad that Kevin had this experience and wrote a book about evangelicals. As Americans, we're a lot a more similar than we sometimes realize. (P.S. I couldn't put this book down. I blazed through it in less than 24 hours.)
