really liked it
bookshelves: past, romantic, real, teen

Reading Eva Ibbotson romances is a lot like eating huge spoonfuls of chocolate ganache--you're enjoying it so much you can't stop, but in the back of your mind you're pretty sure you're doing something wrong. Everyone loves Anna sooooo much except for her super mean rival! Even though she was a member of the fabulously rich Russian aristocracy, her family was super nice to all the poor people and it was very unkind of them to take away all her family's nice things! All the servants in the English country house where she works are super happy being servants and would just die for the family they serve! The maids even think it's cute when old Uncle Sebastien pinches them on the butt! But now everything is going horribly wrong! Will it all work out in the end?!? Mmm, chocolate ganache...another spoon please...
