About a year ago I read The Templar Legacy by the same author and accorded it the honor of being my favorite of the "If you liked the Da Vinci Code ..." books. I picked up The Alexandria Link expecting more of the same, and it delivered. Tragically, it delievered in practically the exact same way: same characters on a new adventure; same variety of twists, turns, and unexpected villains; same chase for an intellectual-variety treasure that could change the world. Still, I enjoyed it, even if it didn't carry the same breathless enthusiasm that The Templar Legacy did for me last year. Popping over to this subgenre of fiction every once in awhile is a good palate cleanser for me.
