More 3.5 stars. I love Sarah Rees Brennan's quirky writing style and was really looking forward to this book. It did have the wit and humor I was expecting, but not a lot of it - Jamie was the most reliable for my favorite lines. The writing is excellent, no doubt, with some wonderful turns of phrase, and there was adventure and danger and lots of tension, but spending the whole book in Nick's cold, emotionally dead mind wasn't the best way for me to experience the story. I liked it, but I didn't love it. I heard book two is from Mae's POV and I think I'm likely to enjoy that a lot more.
