LMA wrote this at age 17. It's about an Italian orphan who is taken in by a wealthy English family. There is a secret past, a deathbed confession, and lots of high drama. It's didactic and fairy-talish. The afterword is great. The manuscript was discovered in 1988 in the library at Harvard. What else are they hiding?
