I had purchased this book 7 years ago to celebrate the end of my academic reading for a bit. Something happened and I never got past the first chapter (probably college graduation and all the other exciting things that followed). I picked it up again this summer, 7 years older and wiser and it was a very appropriate read for the time in my life, faith and interests. I even saw the Dead Sea Scrolls this summer and recalled some of the information I learned there and how it connected to this story. I fell in love with the story of Dinah and how it wove around my knowledge of the Biblical family of Jacob. I spent many late evenings trying to finish this book and learn more of Dinah's life. I am grateful I gave this book a second chance!
