Ginko is a Mushishi, or Mushi Master, who travels Japan helping people who are plagued by primordial creatures called mushi. This is is one of the more interesting manga series I've read in a while, and each episode of this has a unique take on these mysterious creatures. It's a nice mix of horror and fairy tales, told in a very mellow and enjoyable way. It's fairly episodic, and so far there isn't much information on Ginko's origins and why he became a Mushishi. Hopefully some of these details will be revealed in future volumes.

The art is less polished than most current manga, giving it a much more natural and almost old-fashioned feel...which is really enjoyable for me and it feels a lot more personable for this.

I really enjoyed the tone of this, and the mythical aspects of it. Definitely worth reading for fans of more unusual stories, especially fans of Clamp's series xxxHolic.
