Being a career telecom person, to see Andrew Grant go from working for AT&T to writing an excellent thriller in his debut spark a pinge of envy. This book is a "down to earth" Bond type of novel, with the main character being a British spy who gets caught up in a number of double crosses involving various factions in New York. Grant's writing style matches his main characters manner of working - direct and to the point. Not a lot of wasted words or actions by either the author or the fictional hero. Anyone who enjoys any type of suspense or spy novel would enjoy this first book in a surely successful series to come.
