Completely agree with Ames' review. Bumped up a star because I thought the writing was fun and engaging (finished it in one day), but it did read long. And the fight between Audrey and Victoria was Baby-Sitters Club level. I didn't really buy Victoria turning from CD-smashing friend to reality show wannabe.

Also had a hard time swallowing that MTV wouldn't be super-excited to have her go off cue cards and start saying what was essentially more bankable gossip (really, rehab for rockstars HARMS careers?).

Anyway it's a great idea for a book, who doesn't want to know about the girl in the song? Did wonder though if some of the drag at the end had to do with the fact that by the very nature of the premise, Audrey was always being acted on. Waiting for more bad things to happen and raise the stakes. Right? Could be a problem.
