I love rich epic of characterization and that Follett stayed true to the nature of each individual. Great love story and details that made me really feel like I was in Follett's world he so cleverly blueprinted worth the journey of thousands more pages!! I well never forget these people they have been imprinted into my heart as real and viable. So happy I finally read this. I ordered it and it sat on my bookshelves for over a year, as I read many forgettable books. I guess I thought it looked like a cinder block and was afraid it might be over my head, He really wrote for any audience to enjoy. All the details in building a Chapel made it vivid and real almost touchable. I so love art and this was art in architecture and the story that could have been the history of so many landmarks as they were constructed. I never travel to see any of these places but, I long to see and touch them in person.
