This is my ALL TIME, FAVORITE book. The middle section of the book is rarely depicted in film, and is the BEST part. It's all about man's relationship to his maker and how his maker is horrified by him and tries to flee from him, and how the creation is ultimately superior to the creator.

Mary Shelley was a genius.

Esteban del Mal Give Genesis (Beckett) a read. Touches on some of the same themes. (It's a short read, only 150 pages.)
