really liked it

I found this book fascinating--the main part of the book is a basically a history book that points out all the stuff that textbooks typically leave out--Columbus's genocide in Haiti, the plagues that struck the Indians in New England just before the Pilgrims arrived, Woodrow Wilson's racism, Helen Keller's socialism, the plight of Native Americans in early America, the worsening of race relations after Reconstruction, etc. The last few chapters were less interesting--they mostly focused on the educational system, and why/how to get new textbooks, but all in all I really liked this book.
