** spoiler alert ** The idea of a man killing in order to satisfy his dramatic tendencies is not a new idea, but it would be fine, except it wasn't done particularly well here either. However, it's still a good read, and her books never stop being an interesting read, particularly when Poirot cracks the case. It's a shame that he's not in more of this novel, however; the fact that it passes through other characters before Poirot really appears around halfway made it feel even more flat and detached than it already was.

Jyv Your comment should, perhaps, be hidden as a spoiler. I had no idea who the killer was until reading this.

Hannah Done. Apologies - I figured the reference was so vague that it wouldn't spoil anyone.
