I was recommended this book. This book is about how the main character, Blanche is under deep depression because her husband died. She then tries and isolates herself from soceity and reality(lives in her own imaginations). She notices her sister Stella's husband, Stanley is extremely abusive and asks her sister to leave him. She tries and puts herself in the spot of her sister and warns her to watch him carefully. Later on in the book, Stanley rapes Blanche and Blanche told her sister that her husband just raped her, Stella denies the truth, because she's carrying his baby. No one believes Blanche. Everyone thinks shes crazy.
this book displays hardships in the family tree and stablizing what's true and what's not. Without a family, it's definently hard to maintain a good life, everything becomes twice as hard to live.
