It's a love story kind of book. But not a love story in a typical sense. The time traveling thing might seem kind of weird, but to me it added another element to the plot. Henry, the time traveler, has no control over his time traveling ways (it reminded me a bit of Quantum Leap, except Henry's time traveling is more random and he doesn't time travel to change things or lives). Clare, the wife, has known Henry her whole life - they first meet when she's a little girl and Henry's time traveling affects her life in many different ways.

There are a lot of tender moments, some heart breaking moments, but in the end I thought it was a reflecting look at an enduring love, through all kinds of ups and downs.
