This book is about 4 women who meet regularly, cook together and share their problems. I also have three best friends who I know since childhood.

But the problems of these women are more severe than ours. One woman fights against cancer, the second against childlessness, the third (together with her therapist)against her craziness and (together with her friends) against her bastard of a husband. The fourth woman fights against the feelings she has for a married man. Since the first three problems are completely alien to me I could relate best to this fourth woman, although I was never in love with a married man. But I know what I means to be lovesick.

The story is told alternately from the point of views of the four women. This way you get to read how the same event was experienced differently - which is not repetitive and boring but informative.

A very nice book for all the women who believe in friendship between women and maybe have something like that themselves.
