This is one of the funniest books I've ever read in my life....the main character is everything I detest in a person, he's obese, gassy, belches too much, speaks his mind far too often, has a horribly enmeshed relationship with his mother, I'd probably liken him to a George Castanza times 10, but for some reason he was easy to like and actually I found myself rooting for him. Very hilarious book, so sad that Kennedy Toole ended his life before he could give us more of his beautiful histerical prose....I highly reccomend this to everyone...
