Curiosity and commitment can make us go through great pains in order to help someone, a close person or someone you just heard of. As an adult I felt the story was partly too "teenage". I also always feel irritated by the author´s way of describing sweaty bodies (mainly in his other books). Now to the good sides: the start and the part of the dog are great, guiding us through the events and through the town which is one of the most beautiful I´ve seen. I actually read it in Swedish but the translation was very good. I also loved the movie. I agree with some others that a few features in the story weren´t that believable. They had solved the puzzles well in the movie though - just left out those parts.
