The problem with reading Pratchett's books hither thither in random order is you miss a lot of back story. Small Gods has a lot of back story for later books and after reading this one Carpe Jugulum gained an extra bit of humor as I made the connection between Jugulum's Bruther quoted by the Omnian priest in that book, and the main character in Small Gods. You can't help but like Bruther and Om. By the end of the book I was rooting for both of them and smiling all the way. This is the usual quick-paced, humor heavy Disc-World book and did not disappoint. Loved every minute of it. Pssst - The turtle moves.
