I think that this is my least favorite one of the Murder Club so far. It was a good book, and the suspense was there as always, but I didn't like that Lindsey was on trial for actions during an investigation. I'm not getting into too much detail here to avoid spoiling it, but I did not think that it enhanced the story. I would have liked this book much better with a little more in the other plot instead of having split plots.

The one good thing that came out of Lindsey's trial is that the Murder Club has a new member! Yuki Castellano is an energetic defense attorney and makes a great addition to the girls club. I'm really enjoying following Lindsey through the different books and am glad that Joe has stayed with her through the last couple.

The conclusion of this investigation is a little weird. I'm not sure that I believe something like this could occur. There are definitely twists that I didn't expect, and the killer is NOT who you will think that it is!
