Ernie recommended this book to me and I cannot thank him enough for it. A series of short essays that started as weekly emails from the author to the folks back home, it details his experiences as a long-time Texan moving with his boyfriend to L.A., and all the culture shock that ensues. Ernie figured I'd appreciate it given my own Chicago-to-SF experiences, and he was right. Amazingly funny and right up the alley for anyone who realized they weren't in Kansas anymore... so to speak.
