DJ Schwenk struggles with insecurities, yet she is full of confidence on the B-ball court. It's off court that she actually gets sick thinking about missing a shot and letting down her team in front of a packed house. Not to mention if she goes to a Big Ten school and is broadcast to more people than she wants to talk about. She's never gotten over her ex-boyfriend, and her brother has been away for therapy, paralyzed from a football injury. Her best guy friend tries dating her, but she can't forget about her EX.

Murdock captures the not so everyday teen life with feelings and ideas that all teens will relate to. Even though the book's main character is a girl, guys will enjoy hearing about all the moves on the court.

Renamed "Darey" by her friend, for her daring spirit while playing the game, Darey goes front & center, commits to a Big Ten school, and gives her EX another chance.
