Very cool idea is turned into a pretty dry and only mildly interesting novel. An immortal that changes genders every couple decades wanders through history doing not much of anything, besides contemplating his/her existence.
Not much fun. Alan Moore's take on this character in 'League of Extraordinary gentlemen' was much more interesting.
