This is INDEED a terrifying book. It took about a month for me to finish (even though I'm a quick reader). Yet you can't live in the world of denial when your family and kids are concerned. I feel emotionally tired and uplifted at the same time, after I read it.

Several stories/analogies from The Gift of Fear are repeated here, so reading some parts, I felt rather bored. True, most things are universal, but I wish De Becker wrote more parts for people living abroad (not in US).

All in all, this is a GREAT book. It empowers me, making me believe that I can defend myself and my loved ones.

I don't know much about De Becker's life (save from some excerpts in his books), yet I can say for sure that I fall for this guy. Keep on writing and sharing your insights, Mr. De Becker!!!
