I picked this book up at a flea market for just a $1 and it has been the best dollar I ever spent :-p This book is a favorite in our house... in fact, my daughter Josie has become so attached to it, she takes it everywhere, even to bed at night. While there's no deep moral to the story or overtly educational value, it is in an entertaining and very cute story that is great for introducing children to reading... even before they can actually read. Although my girls are just starting to be able to recognize certain words when they see them (they just turned 4), Josie "reads" this book all the time to herself and to her twin sister Anna... I have read it to them so many times, all she has to do is see the picture, and she knows what is said on that page. Along with other books in their collection, I believe this book has helped to cement a life-long love of reading in my daughters...
