I go back and forth about how I feel about this book. On occasion, I think that the story falls a little flat and doesn't quite meet expectations. But most of the time, I really think I liked it. It's a fun premise and I really like the idea of survival school and the Newton's family's quirky problem with lightning. I also now would really love to have a small pet pig named Josephine. And the more I sit on this book, the more I like how the story ended and how Newton comes to terms with his family's curse and his own flaws.
