I love a good story that infuses mythology. Since this is in New Zealand, I know nothing about their mythology. I really didn't even think about whether or not they even had that kind of culture. In fact, it's very rich and still affects their day-to-day life.

Ellie is a normal 17 year old, hanging out with her friend Kevin and crushing on the mysterious Mark. But after bumping into Mark on the street, things start changing in Ellie's life. A crazy street preacher insists she needs help from the Bible. Weird things happen when she's around Mark (unrelated to hormones). A stranger takes a strong liking to Kevin, but tips Ellie's weirdo trigger. Ellie gets wrapped in a mystery that's going to take all her strength to get out of.
