Fast-paced almost throughout and thrilling. However, the steam ran out a bit after the middle of the novel. Also, the Budayeen is somewhat unbelievable, with its contradictory mix of morning prayers and nighttime debauchery. Perhaps the contrast is meant to enliven and reveal the contradictory nature of society and man, but in this case, the parts about morning prayers seem extraneous and unrelated to the cyberpunk theme of the novel.
