Hm. I LOOOOVED this book as a kid. I can tell you exactly where it was shelved in the Prospect Heights public library. On the reread to Andy, it was enjoyable, but not as totally captivating as it was when I was 8 or 9. Bummer. Andy loved it, though. Now I need to figure out which Cleary to read to him next.

Susann Waiting with bated breath to hear what you choose next(she writes in her NON-sarcastic font). I'm really enjoying Andy's (and your) reactions to all my old faves. Have you done RAMONA THE PEST yet? I know Ramona is a girl and all, but Harry Hiccups makes a cameo.

Kelly Andy's in an animal phase right now, so we started The Mouse and the Motorcycle last night. I honestly have no memory of reading this -- so it's new to both of us!

Susann Oh duh - how could I forget about that one? Perfect choice. It's another Mrs. Markiewicz classic and I hope you're reading with the original Louis Darling illustrations. I love that ping pong helmet.
