Caveat: I am not a grammar stickler. Understanding is paramount. People can be assholes, particularly to immigrants, about wearing a grammar badge. Though, my current job puts me in this position. So it was good to read some history and anecdotes about written language. The game of making the same string of words carry radically different meanings depending on punctuation is fun.
