I'm going to make an embarrassing comparison, but bear with me: the narrator of this book (I'm thinking that he's unnamed) reminded me of Holden Caulfield. I'm not saying this is the new Catcher in the Rye. But the way the main character automatically judges the people he interacts with while wanting to embrace them creates a sense of humor that was very close to the experience of reading Holden's narration. The other really great thing about the book was the way the author chose perfectly awkward words and just stuck them in there. It was hilarious. The only misstep for me was the last paragraph, which should have just been deleted. So I'm going to pretend that it was.
