Kathy Love is one of my fav PNR (paranormal romance) novelists. Really. Her “Young Brothers” vampire series is on my Keeper Shelf and a wonderful read. This novel is the third in a spin-off series from that YB series, even though this new series doesn’t seem to have a name yet. Odd, I know. Makes me think this is a publisher decision (probably the Marketing Department).

Anyway, it’s about two lampir brothers (kinda like vampires) in New Orleans and their paranormal friends. Here are the books in this nameless series in order:

1.) “Any Way You Want It”
2.) “I Want You to Want Me”
3.) “Demon Can’t Help It”

In this one, the demon, Maksim, finds true love (much to his surprise in that demons aren’t supposed to be capable of love, or so he thinks, and he should know, being the Ruler of the 8th Realm of Hell). To add to his shock the love of his supernatural life turns out to be a mortal woman named Jo Burke.

Jo is a friend of Maggie and Ericka (from the first two novels in this series), who married the two lampir brothers and are now lampirs themselves. And Maksim is a demon. But Jo knows none of this, and thinks they are all human like herself. But then she is keeping a ton of secrets, too, not to mention she can see and communicate with ghosts, which totally freaks her out.

I can always count on Kathy Love to weave a wonderful story with sympathetic characters, a yummy hero, hot sex scenes, and a great HEA. This novel is definitely going on my Keeper Shelf along with all of Love’s others. No doubt about it!
