Unputdownable. I love Savannah Georgina Brown. She's such a sweet and funny character.

Although, being a Carolina girl, I am a little put off by the author's choice of grammar, or perhaps I should say, often lack of grammar. The main character, Savannah gets excellent grades and works hard in school, yet in her conversations, she along with the other characters sometimes sound like a bunch of uneducated hicks. But, I do recognize many of the things the characters say as part of the regional dialect and are seen by some (myself, a proud southernern, included) as cute southernisms.

Grammar aside the book was fantastic. Savannah is a very likeable, relatable teenager and her relationship with Jackson is heartwarming and hopeful. There was no romance like that in my teen years, but reading her story took me back to the many happy memories I do have. I'm extremely disappointed I can't rush out and pick up another book by Cheryl Renee Herbsman. I look forward to her second novel.
