really liked it
bookshelves: fiction
Read in January, 2002

My mother recently asked me why I liked this book about three misfits. This book of child abuse. Of abandonment. It's a difficult read. But I also thought it a brilliant illustration of colonialism. Not to mention, a meditation on the limits of redemption and forgiveness.
