4 stars. Due to the acquisition of GoodReads by Amazon on March 28, 2013 and my existing and continuing boycott of all things Amazon, the review I wrote after reading this book has been relocated to my blog and can be found in its entirety by following this link: http://bit.ly/16omgFU

Jon Too tired to write the review tonight. I'll post it tomorrow.

message 4: by Chris (new)

Chris I actually didn't like Elantris. But your review makes me want to give this series a try.

message 5: by Jon (new) - added it

Jon Actually, Warbreaker is a standalone just like Elantris (different world though).

Nancy Great review, Jon!

Jon Thanks, Nancy. Sorry for the "spam" of old reviews this morning. My uncle is visiting and I'm loaning him several books at lunch today. In order to keep track of my loans, I add them to a shelf here on GoodReads (and to a private group my uncle and I have for discussing the books we share). I always forget to uncheck the box to post it to my update feed.

So again, to all my GR friends, I apologize for the spam on your update feed. :)

message 8: by Nancy (new) - added it

Nancy No problem, Jon! I get so many reviews on my update feed that sometimes I don't remember if I'd seen them before. And I'm guilty of reposting reviews when I make a typo or want to change a sentence.
