the verdict was still out after the first book. I enjoyed the first Mercedes Thompson book, but Patricia's style of writing was different than anything else i had read in a while. However, from about chapter 2 of Blood Bound, I was in love. Mercy's character really took off and I loved where all the other characters went in this amazing book. My favorite part about Mercy? She doesn't want to follow blindly - she wants to help lead, and I like that.
