Geoffrey Bays I have just finished "In Defense of Food An Eater's Manifesto and it is a great read. Pollan destroys the common shibboleths created by "nutritionism"--this is the false science that arises from trying to study the effects of foods via reductionism to the varioius individual nutrients.
Even nutritionists do not believe this stuff, including "lipidism", the belive that fats are evil. It is beautifully written, and reminds us to get off the Western diet and " eat food, not too much, mostly plant food."
