At various times in this book Lex Luthor is referred to as the bald man, the bald genius, the bald entrepreneur, and the bald industrialist. The poor guy, he can't escape his pate. And he can't escape the combined fury of Superman and Batman. The two superheroes hook up to put Mr. Clean in the electric chair.

Coda: Batman drives his batmobile for the first time in this book. "Bruce started the ignition process," writes the author, "atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed." Geezers like me will recognize that exact wordage taken directly from the 1960s TV show. I can still hear Adam West rejoin: "Roger! Ready to move out!"

Cloudwalker The fate of his pate, poor guy indeed *~_^* Isn't Lex the ultimate "smooth operator"?

Ever wonder how Bats disposes of his atomic batteries without poisoning the environment? You'd think he'd have gone green by now, no?

Eric Luthor's single-minded ambition to A) rule the world, and B) destroy Superman can be quite entertaining, I must admit.

Cloudwalker You could also say he's not a quitter, which is also rather admirable.
