My best friend from college, Trudy Karnes, gave me this book to read. Any book she gives me, I read with great expectation. The author of this book is a professor at the U of A, so I read this with even greater expectation. You might think with all this expectation, I would be let down, but it was wonderful! I loved it! I think I understand what my daughter, L.E., has been trying to tell me - that most of us are just trying to love our families and our countries and to honor the faiths of our childhoods while at the same time trying to meld with others from other families, other countries, other faiths.
