really liked it
bookshelves: non-fiction

I've been obsessed with the Titanic since I was a kid, and am probably one of the few who a)loves the movie, and b)loves it for the historical detail, and not Leonardo DiCaprio. I read this book a long time ago, and ever since have been a walking fact book about the Titanic. It's a really fascinating collection of the accounts and chronology of what happened (and what may not have happened) that night. It admits where there is ambiguity (I believe - it's been a while since I read it), and does its best to put the pieces together in a coherent way. If you are at all interested in Titanic, this is the book you need to read to get a better understanding of it.
